The Craft is a series of lessons to help you build a strong foundation in tattooing.
Education in tattooing often lacks a fundamental and logical understanding of how elements of our equipment and process works. This means that tattooers in PMU, medical tattooing and traditional tattooing can struggle with troubleshooting, amending techniques on the fly and getting the best results with the least effort.
‘The Craft’ is a journey through all of the elements of tattooing from how tattoos work to how they age, cross contamination, and how to get the best out of your equipment and practice. Due to the fact that tattooing, and how it is performed, is one big variable this knowledge is paramount in establishing good habits and knowledge that will give you confidence in your Craft and prevent you from causing harm.
We all work differently, and with a good foundation in tattoo knowledge, you will be able to embrace the way you work instead of trying to replicate someone else’s technique.
Before we learn to tattoo damage skin, we must master tattooing healthy skin. This course will help you achieve a greater understanding of your procedure and lead to mastery in your field.

Becky Barker and Nic Deluna have 40 years combined time in the tattoo industry. Both had traditional tattoo apprenticeships, and have had apprentices of their own. They noticed that more and more of the key information covered in THE CRAFT was being lost in tattoo and PMU training, and believe whole heartedly that if anyone tattooing learned the elements covered in this educational programme, they would be more confident, and able to expand and improve their techniques without spending a fortune on masterclasses!
Tattooing is an ancient and sacred craft, it deserves more respect than it is given in much of modern tattooing and PMU.
